As a Ruby Backend Developer, you will be responsible for our services-oriented server architecture. Your responsibilities will include:

Implementing new features on ongoing basis

Working together with Marketing and Product to define and implement their requirements

Working together with Design to create the best user experience in the market

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor or Masters Degree in information systems, computer science, physics, math or another related field

Very good knowledge of technologies like Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Heroku, AWS, Rspec, Unit-testing, Continuous Integration/Delivery

Knowledge of Git and approaches for software development processes that allow to deliver high quality code

Experience and understanding of building test-covered and well-documented APIs

Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or similar projects, ideally on small- or medium-sized projects extending over a period of >6 months

Understanding of Microservice architecture

Ability to work and communicate in a fast-paced, international startup environment

Disciplined approach to automated testing and quality assurance as well as understanding why it is important

You are eager to work in an agile and ever-changing environment

Entrepreneurial thinking and acting

An eye for good design and accessibility will be a big plus
