Pay with a Tweet was created in 2010 and was re-launched as a SaaS business in February 2014, in Hamburg, Germany. Pay with a Tweet is a referral marketing tool that drives reach through social recommendations. Thousands of organizations and bloggers around the globe are using our product to create social media awareness and to generate new customers for their offerings. Succeeding our commercial re-launch and seed-financing round, Pay with a Tweet is ready for the next leap.

We are currently looking for an intern in the area of web development with a focus on ruby on rails.
The internship will run for 4-6 month in our Hamburg, Germany offices.

We offer you the opportunity to take over responsibility and be a part of our exciting journey. During your time with us you will gain insights into what makes a start-up and learn a lot in the area of web development.

Please note, that this is an on-site job and a permanent placement. We do not offer fully remote or freelance work

Your Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development of the Pay with a Tweet Web application with Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and Javascript * Work together with the development team, founders and online-marketing team and help shape the product roadmap * Take responsibility for and work independently on smaller web development projects for mobile and desktop * Learn, implement and further research best practices in web development What we expect from you: * You have had some experience with using Ruby, Python or PHP as part of web development projects * You are motivated, dedicated and full of energy and like to work independently and as a team * You are interested in agile development with SCRUM and Kanban * Fulfilling the requirement for a mandatory internship a part of a apprenticeship or university degree are preferable but not a must * You don’t have to know everything but be ready and willing to learn a lot * You are willing to move to Hamburg/Germany and you are eligible for a German work permit
